The shopping bag in question is the very practical and reusable great big blue bag sold at Ikea for a mere 99 cents and now duplicated by Belenciaga but at inflated price of $2,850.00
A press release was promptly issued by Ikea a few days ago addressing this development:
“We are deeply flattered that the Balenciaga tote bag resembles the Ikea iconic sustainable blue bag for 99 cents,” a spokesperson wrote. “Nothing beats the versatility of a great big blue bag!”
It really makes you wonder what is determined fashionable and how much it’s really worth? It definitely is a case of beauty being in the eye of the beholder!
