Donations of unused stock to Wesley International Church, Sydney
At JEM Promotional Products we occasionally have unused stock, that seems wasteful to just throw away so we are happy to be associated with hard working charities that find our donations very useful, as was the case in the following situations. We are happy to be associated with the hard work being done all over the world with some very needy people.
For over ten years now Susan Scarcella and her husband Reverand Rocco Scarcella of Wesley International Church, Sydney has supported the orphanage system of the Bali Protestant Church, by sending and/or taking clothing, shoes, hygeine and school needs and toys to the children. There are about 375 children all up in the orphanages.
After the success of our first donation that saw our unused stock get flown all the way to Tanzania we had a look through the warehouse again and were able to find some more things we could donate. This time Sue went to Bali and gave the shirts to young children there.
These are two photos taken at the Blimbingsari orphanage in West Bali, where you can see several of the boys wearing the t-shirts that JEM donated.
Africa
Dear John,
Thought you would like to see some of your t-shirts in Africa (Tanzania, in these cases). More will follow when the team leader returns.
Carina (the young girl in the photo) is a medical student who went on opthamological mission. Whenever they saw someone whose clothing looked very bad they gave them a t-shirt. You can see how happy they are to have their sight back AND a new shirt.
Blessings,
Sue
