Corban & Blair are delighted to collaborate with Thomas ‘Bagaay’ Avery. Thomas has created little hand-painted artworks that are adhered to the recycled leather journal. The artworks are painted on offcut material which was destined for waste. Each piece was individually painted and signed by Thomas. No journals are alike, they are all one-of-a-kind and unique art pieces.
Thomas ‘Bagaay’ Avery is a descendant of the Gamilaroi tribe in northern NSW. His personal totem is the blue tongue lizard. Thomas’s ancestors were born at Bohena Creek Aboriginal Reserve, Narrabri. Thomas is a painter, designer and filmmaker using his unique insights to communicate his culture.
