As you can imagine working in the promotional products industry means that we pay close attention to popular large merchandise programs from around the world. We figured that there probably isn’t any larger programs than the 2012 London Olympics so we have been paying that particular merchandise program some extra attention.
The team at JEM Promotional Products decided to take some time to select our favourite merchandise items that we agree are pretty good and we think we are probably pretty hard markers!

The choices were varied and reflected our own particular interests so there was no clear stand out merchandise product that we all thought was a “must have” as a keepsake for the 2012 London Olympics. Maybe that is the only criticism that we can think of but overall the standard was very high.
I guess we all can’t help but compare it to Sydney’s 2000 Olympics which will be embed in our memories for the rest of our lives as the new millennium was celebrated.

We all still remember the interactive part the some of the merchandise items played in the opening ceromony as well as the very Aussie feel to some of the merchandise which ranged from fly swatters through to torches and glow sticks.

One of the most popular merchandise items for the Sydney 2000 Olympics was the Olympic pin. Enough Sydney 2000 Olympic pins were sold in Australia to provide every household in Australia with a collection of eight pins. We wonder what the favourites for the London Olympics will turn out to be?
