Now that the commonwealth games are over the team at JEM Promotional Products have been interested in the scarves the athletes were given when they were awarded with the Gold, Silver or Bronze medals. We were impressed with the way they were able to bring their Indian culture in to merchandise.
The Olympics begin when the ceremonial torch enters the stadium and lights a towering bonfire that will burn for the duration of the games. The 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne stole some of that Olympic fire for its marvelous victory bouquets. The striking bouquets feature a woven speargrass frame ringed by yellow balls of billy buttons surrounding mini gerberas, anthuriums, emu grass and heliconia providing every medalist with a torch—scorching yellows and reds, with licking dark green flames.
The Commonwealth Games is held in a different country every 4 years and each host country will bring a piece of their culture to the medal presentation whether with native flowers or items like scarves that were used in Delhi.
