Exclusive to the Great Southern Clothing Company, Vor-Tech® has been designed to offer incredible
breathability and efficient waterproofing properties. Vor-Tech® is a 2 or 3 layer design which involves the lamination of the Vor-Tech® membrane with any outer fabric and lining to provide superior wind resistance,
water resistance and warmth.

The Vor-Tech® membrane coating is micro-porous, allowing the garment to “breathe” as vapourised
moisture from the body passes rapidly through the fabric to the outside, ensuring the insulating layers keep you dry and comfortable.

Great Southern outer fabrics also utilise a durable water repellant (DWR), causing water to bead and run off the garment. Water is unable to soak into the weave of the outer fabric for the lifetime of the product. Additionally, all seams are factory heat-sealed to ensure they are totally waterproof, maintaining the integrity of the garment for many years.

Micro-porous technology involves a membrane design using pores that are much smaller than a drop of water, but much larger than a molecule of water. Perspiration easily escapes through the pores in the membrane as moisture vapour.
