How to Grow
When to plant: All year round
Prepare: To provide some drainage, place pebbles in to the bottom of the windowsill pot before putting the soil in.
Sow: Sprinkle a few seeds in clumps 5cm apart. Lightly cover the seeds with 5mm of the leftover soil. Water and place the pot in a warm well lit spot in the home or office. To maintain the humidity cover the windowsill pot with cling film. Water regularly, just enough to keep moist. Remove the cling film when the first shoots appear. You'll see the first sign of seedlings in 10-14 days. When the plants are 5cm tall, thin to leave only the strongest seedlings. This allows the young seedlings to have plenty of space to develop. The surplus plants can be planted into another pot or direct into the garden from mid spring.
Care: Feed with half strength liquid fertiliser every 10-14 days to promote healthy growth.
Harvest: Enjoy fresh juicy tomatoes from your windowsill garden every day.
